Fundraising Achievement Award 2011

This week we are looking at the winner of our 2011 Fundraising Achievement Award, recognising an individual or group who have excelled in fundraising for the charity Cycling Projects.

The winner of this award was Karen Hackney who is a participant of the Health on Wheels programme in Western Cheshire. Karen not only found these cycle sessions benificial but also enjoyable, so much that she promoted these sessions to family and friends to join her.

From attending these sessions on a regular basis Karen was encouraged and supported by Jonathan Cheatle (Western Cheshire Co-ordinator) to take up the personal challange of cycling the Liverpool to Chester Cycle Challenge. Along with several members of our staff, Karen completed the 30 mile challenge under 2hours and 30minutes and raised over £150 for the charity!
