Green Exercise

Cycling Projects partnered with Natural England in 2008.

Natural England funded eight, three year pilot projects through local partnerships in the eight government regions between 2008-11 to test the process of engaging hard to reach groups in green exercise activity.

Cycling Projects were commissioned to manage and deliver Natural England’s North West green exercise demonstration project and used a number of cycling activities to effectively deliver against Natural England’s aims.

The project covered the geographical locations of Warrington, Wirral and Salford.

Green Exercise, as a funded project, came to an end in March 2011 although sessions are still running in Warrington, Wirral and Salford.

See our session guides  under Wheels for All and Cycle for Health for more information regarding these sessions.
