Wheels for All

People with special needs often find it quite hard to access suitable recreational and exercise facilities. Cycling is a great solution as it is fun both independently and with family and friends joining in.
Cycling Projects launched Wheels for All in 1996 and now has 21 locations around the UK, giving disabled people the chance to cycle.
Wheels for All centres are then co-ordinated by constituted groups often led by care workers, physiotherapists or enthusiastic parents/family members. The focus groups will then operate a regular base of cycle activities, which can be utilised all year round by their target groups.
Through the “Wheels for All” initiative we are able to work on a one-to-one basis to improve the mobility and mental state of clients. “Wheels for All” gives people a sense of empowerment.
