Young Volunteer of the Year
This week we are looking at the winner of the Young Volunteer of the Year 2011, recognising a volunteer under the age of 25 who has by his/her work made a significant contribution to their centre.
This award was won by the deserving Aaron Brown from Liverpool. He has volunteered with the charity for around 12 months now, helping at all three Wheels for All centres across Liverpool: Wavertree Sports Park, Walton Hall Park and Greenbank Sports Academy.
Daniel Coonan (Liverpool WFA Co-ordinator) described Aaron; ‘he is always pleasant and supportive to clients, always putting newcomers to the project at ease’.
Our volunteers across Cycling Projects are vitally important. They allow us to increase sessions and participant numbers, help with maintenance of bikes and often go to all sorts of lengths to help the charity. We simply could not cope without them!
